Rescue vs. Redemption

I frustrate myself with my evangelistic(or lack thereof) efforts. As I was thinking about how I, at times, begin with the wrong paradigm. I have bought into a model of evangelism that is rescue driven. People are going to hell and it is my job to head them off at the pass and get them to heaven. Most fail to get it. When people get saved, the next sequential question is what is next? Beginning with a redemptive view of evangelism enables me to present and have an end goal with the message I am trying to convey. My interactions with non-western leaders show me they already get this and I am a bit late to the party. The New Testament paradigm of evangelism is saturated with redemption and reconciliation.

You will have to do your own study on this. I am full of questions, more than answers, but basically it is rocking my conceptual ideas of evangelism as far as presentation, process, and end goal are concerned. I think if you check your flux capacitor you will find your answer. Your hansomer friend, Ty
