Joel Osteen

I, probably like many of you, have been involved with conversations about Joel Osteen, pastor of America's largest church, Lakewood, in Houston. Unfortunately many of the conversations have been unfairly critical. I have heard people say "he doesn't preach the real Gospel," "he is too much into prosperity," "he is too young..." I assume that I don't agree with everything Mr. Osteen believes, but then again there have been some stupid things come out of my mouth of what I thought was true. Maybe my greatest reason for liking him is that he seems like the kind of guy you would want to have lunch with. I have met alot of preachers, and conversing over lunch is not something I would aspire to do with many of them. Maybe that should be a new qualification for preachers: NICE.
