NAPS!!!

I read a newly released study today that found that a 30 minute nap three times a week reduces the chance of a heart attack by 37%. I just want to go on public record as supporting nap time. It all comes back to circadian rhythm. I'm good for nothing in the afternoon. I think 98% of my creativity and productivity happens before noon! Some afternoons I feel like a computer that opens more and more programs so the processor slows down and eventually all the programs say "not responding." I not only sponsor a 30 minute nap, but an hour nap! Spain has it figured out, they work until lunch, take a 2 hour nap and then work again. Was I born in the wrong country. If I took a 2 hour nap every day, I would cut my monthly coffee costs in half. What I'm trying to say is this: I'm pro-naps. For what it's worth, Jesus took a nap during a storm. Also, Jesus said to become like little children, and they need naps. That is the basis of my nap theology.

Can I just say that I heartily agree with your nap philosophy...(and, by the way, with your incredibly well-stated props to your wife!!). Now, I'm pregnant, so I may have extra need for naps, but I have been known to nap in the afternoons during work at Baylor...that's right...curl up on the couch in the student lounge for 30 mins or so and take a snooze. BUT, even if I wasn't pregnant, I would wholeheartedly support your napping theology.
