"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 6.
Thought alot about community lately. In a relationally fragmented world, at its peak in cities like Los Angeles, being God's people is vital for the future of the church. God has rigged our faith to be dependant on relating to one another. Broken relationships are evident of broken faith. The above passage is embedded in a chapter where Paul is addressing relational dynamics(husband/wife, slave/master). Standing against the devil's schemes may begin with reconciling relational breakdowns. What better plan of the enemy to cause separation and distance between God's children. In a dark world some of the brightest light is whole, healthy relationships that live up to the imagery of a chosen race, royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a people(not person) belonging to God.
