Am I okay? Are you okay?

Thought recently about how Christian maturity can actually work against me and create barriers between unchurched folk and myself. Jesus came and spent his time with common people and the disenfranchised. He avoided the religious elite because there is a poison that sets in with religious elitism. The beauty of Jesus is that He was/is the apex of spiritual living and knew that God's reality made most sense to people that were not in the crowd considered to be "holy." How much of our church life is spent comparing ourselves to ourselves? "Have you heard that guy preach?" Have you read her book?" "This worship band is so anointed!" Maybe Jesus was kicking off a leadership revolution. Rather than using other Christians to tell us we are okay, maybe the litmus test is what people that we pass everyday think about the reality of God's love alive in our life. "Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up."(I Cor 8:3) Pick up any of Mother Teresa's books and let it inspire us to live a life worth living!
